 Hi, I’m Valerie — a native California girl now living in New Jersey. I’m a proud mom to college-age twin daughters who keep life exciting and inspiring. 

I have a passion for interior design and fashion, and I’m always drawn to beautiful spaces and effortless style. I love indulging in luxury spa days, enjoying elegant brunches, and finding any excuse to dress up and celebrate life. 

Meeting new people and building meaningful connections truly lights me up. I believe life is meant to be enjoyed — with laughter, good company, and a little bit of glam along the way. ✨ 

Lia Henry is a native New Yorker from upstate who is now living her dream in paradise! An elementary Montessori teacher, she made the move to Maui last summer and has been fully embracing island life ever since. 

 Growing up in a large, diverse family (with more sisters than she can keep track of 😉), Lia has always cherished connection, community, and lifelong friendships — which is exactly why sisterhood means so much to her. She loves meeting new people, building meaningful bonds, and creating memories that last.  

At her school, Lia proudly serves on the DEI Committee, where she advocates for inclusion, equity, and belonging. When she’s not in the classroom, you can find her exploring the island, enjoying her favorite shows and music, or curled up with a good book. 

Born and raised in Chicago, Christel brings warmth, rhythm, and heart to everything she does. Deeply rooted in family and connection, she values the kind of sisterhood that feels like home — supportive, joyful, and lasting.

A lifelong music lover and vinyl collector, Christel finds joy in nostalgia, meaningful lyrics, and a good dance break whenever the moment calls for it. She’s an avid collector of coffee mugs and tea cups, a proud francophile with an appreciation for culture and charm, and she never turns down a well-crafted thriller that keeps her on the edge of her seat.

For Christel, sisterhood is about shared laughter, lasting memories, and building bonds that stand the test of time.

 Diane was born in Georgia and lived a short time in Florida. Her family moved to California when she was six years old, where she has resided since then. 

Although she didn’t really have an interest in it, math was her best subject, and it came easy to her. Her counselors encouraged her to make math her major, enrolling her in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Physics. However, she decided this wasn’t the route she wanted to take and changed her major to business.

 Diane began her career working as a civil servant in law enforcement and eventually transferred to the county’s law offices. Working in these sectors gave her a perspective, knowledge, and appreciation of both. Although her job was very demanding with a lot of responsibilities and expectations, she really loved it. It was interesting, very fulfilling and rewarding. She’s also proud to say she’s the first Black person that was promoted to her position. 

Diane is happily retired now and thoroughly enjoys its benefits. She likes to travel, take in a good movie (especially a comedy), have a spa day, attend plays and concerts, and go to venues that feature live music. She’s a foodie that enjoys everything from fine dining to mom and pop restaurants. She loves fashion, and can’t resist a good hat. 

Diane enjoys spending time with family and friends, and creating memories. She values positive energy and interacting with loyal, supportive, intelligent, and compassionate women. Being amongst peers that are sincere and care about each other and their community is key.

My name is Anyika Madison, and I am from Memphis, Tennessee—home of the blues, Graceland, and the best barbecue. I am a wife and mother of two daughters, and family is very important to me.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking and baking. I am a fan of the Food Network, specifically "Delicious Miss Brown" and "The Pioneer Woman," as well as "Finding Your Roots" and "America’s Test Kitchen" on PBS. I am also a huge music lover and enjoy listening to Prince, Michael Jackson, Selena, Bruno Mars, and Janet Jackson, along with R&B, old-school, and Gospel music.

I also love 

reading books, biographies & African-American Romance.! I love going to concerts, dancing, and traveling. 

Being a member of "AZEN" says it all ..Helping each other, working together, doing the work, making it happen. Having a strong sisterhood...there's no better place to be.

Joset Ward, LSW 

Joset Ward is a Licensed Social Worker with over 10 years of experience specializing in children, youth, and families. She received her Master's degree in Social Work from Asbury University, Wilmore, Kentucky. She completed her Bachelo(s degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology at City College of New York. 

Joset's areas of expertise are family and relationship issues, stress management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and personal growth. She specializes in working with children, college students, and young adults, utilizing a multidimensional approach to therapy 

that addresses individual biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Christian counseling based on biblical values is also available upon client request. 

As an interactive, family systems therapist, Joset evaluates each person within their environment and provides practical feedback for addressing personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, Joset collaborates with individuals to help them build on their strengths and achieve personal growth.
